My name is Luigi, and I've been sailing for more than 20 years.

For the past seven years I've called a sailboat home, cruising thousands of miles along the U.S. East Coast, throughout the Caribbean, and into Central America. Living aboard full-time has given me experience with all kinds of conditions, from peaceful island anchorages to challenging offshore passages and changing weather.

I'm also a lifelong mechanic and problem solver. Understanding every system on the boat is just as important to me as understanding the sea, and I take pride in keeping my vessel safe, reliable, and ready for adventure.

Rugged Sailing is about more than just getting from one place to another. It's about exploring hidden islands, finding quiet beaches, snorkeling vibrant reefs, meeting local people, and experiencing the Caribbean the way it was meant to be seen—from the water.
